Competition Rules
The International Piano Competition organised by ARTE CON ANIMA.
The 8th Rhodes International Piano Competition will be held in Rhodes/Greece from 10 to 12 April 2018
The Competition is open to pianists of all nationalities born between 1990-2002
The closing date for registration is March 30, 2018
Rhodes International Piano Competition committee will select participants based on the review of their CV and a link (in e.g. Youtube) of an audiovisual recording of the participant that includes works s/he will play in the competition. The latter is mandatory.
The competition will consist of two rounds (eliminatory and final) and is open to the public.
The order of the appearance of the competitors will be defined by a draw, which will take place on the 9th of April 2018.
All the competitors will have the possibility to practice on a piano on a strict rotation.
All pieces must be performed from memory and without repeats.
Competitors must not overpass the maximum duration of program. If such, the Jury can interrupt the competitor.
All rights of recording and recordings’ exploitations (CDs, Videos, Photos, DVDs, Radio or television broadcasting etc.) are reserved to Arte Con Anima. Competitors cannot claim economic rights for any performance or for the prizes winners concert.
All finalists will receive a diploma of participation.
The participants of the competition must implicitly and unconditionally accept all regulations and must observe them; failure to adhere to regulations will cause their exclusion from the competition.
arte con anima reserves the right to modify or change the present regulations.
arte con anima will cover the accommodation expenses for the pianists who will be selected by the committee to participate to the 8th Rhodes International Piano Competition for the duration of the competition*
*The hotel will be chosen by the organizer (arte con anima) for three nights (10-11-12) in Half-Board plan (it includes breakfast and dinner)
To those applicants who need a visa, an official invitation will be sent as required by the secretariat of the Rhodes International Piano Competition.
Registration
All candidates must use the enclosed entry form to register at the competition. Each registration must be accompanied by:
• A copy of his or her passport or ID card or a photocopy of the birth certificate.
• Brief curriculum vitae containing the candidate’s musical education and previous
concerts.
• A definitive list of the pieces to be played in the competition together with the
duration of each piece. Changes of the program may be accepted under certain
circumstances.
• A recent portrait photograph for use in the Competition programme and press releases.
•Link (Youtube, vimeo etc.) with an audiovisual recording of the participant, including works s/he will play in the competition.
Please note: Once the selection process is completed, if you received a confirmation email from our secretariat that you have selected to participate to the competition, you will be required to pay a registration fee of 155€. The receipt of payment must sent to the rmail that we will provide you. All the bank charges relating to the transfer are to be paid by the participant.
The participation application form, attached to these Rules, should be completed legibly in BLOCK letters in Greek or English and submitted not later than March 30, 2018 (if sent by mail, the date stamp will be proof) to:

Registration Fees
Once you received a confirmation email from our secretariat that you have selected to participate to the competition, the next step is to complete the payment of the registration fee.
Each competitor must pay a registration fee of 155€. The receipt of payment must sent to the mail that we will provide you. In case of cancellation the subscription fee won’t be reimbursed. All the bank charges relating to the transfer are to be paid by the participant.
Any banking transfer fees must be added to the amount prior to transfer.
The receipt of payment must be sent to the email that we will provide you.
